Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly
Due to an increase in the volume of work, we’re looking for several Manufacturing Engineers to work with a global engine manufacturer in Stafford on a contract basis.
Based onsite you will have the opportunity to work with a new major Engine coming into production ensuring efficiency and innovation.
What are we looking for?
* Experienced in the application of lean methodologies including Six Sigma and Kaizen improvement tools.
* Knowledge of systems and controls
* Good understanding of an operations environment.
* Experience with pinpoint / manufacturing execution systems would be beneficial.
* Appreciation of an engine hot test environment (role specific)
* Ideally experience with Beckoff and Allen Bradley PLCs (role specific)
* Ideally experience with software programming / coding – Visual Basic, C++, Python (role specific)
* IOSH certificate is desirable
What will you do?
* We’re looking for Manufacturing Engineers to support various divisions in assembly, paint shop and the hot test facility, where you may be involved in the following;
* Participating in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.
* Rebalancing work, and getting the manufacturing line up and ready
* Focusing on assembly process
* Monitoring equipment and process reliability; identifying and addressing problem areas.
* Analysing engineering change notices, determines any part or process change, initiates and implements all changes.
* Providing engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.
