Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

£30,000-35,000 plus benefits
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient management of inventory, staff, and logistics. A valid forklift license is required for this position, as you will be responsible for operating forklifts and ensuring safe practices are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
2. Coordinate and schedule work activities for warehouse staff to optimize productivity and efficiency.
3. Train and mentor warehouse employees on proper safety procedures, equipment operation, and inventory management.
4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
5. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
6. Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to maintain accuracy.
7. Prepare reports on inventory levels, employee performance, and operational efficiency for management review.
8. Collaborate with other departments to facilitate timely order fulfilment and resolve any logistical issues.
9. Implement process improvements to enhance warehouse operations and reduce costs.
Personal Profile:
1. Education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
2. Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role or similar position.
3. Ability to operate both Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
7. Proficient in using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications.
