A Key role, providing services directly to the Veolia Executive Committee. The role holder will be accountable for various aspects of the management & financial accounting reporting processes that are undertaken at the Finance Shared Service Centre. The role holder will be responsible for a direct report and aspects of financial and management accounting reporting processes that are undertaken at the Finance Shared Service Centre. This includes: Budgets/Forecasts Monthly Management Accounts Assisting with quarterly deep dives Responsible for Business Partnering and producing quality budgets/forecasts Facilitation of Audits Group Reporting to Paris for Central Entities& intercompany reconciliations Documentation of current work process Preparing Balance Sheet Reconciliation Adhering to and completing a month end checklist Responsible for getting hands on with the local audits & statutory accounts process Look to find and implement process improvements Assisting with other ad hoc tasks in the team What we're looking for: Qualification with a recognised UK accounting body e.g ACA, ACCA, CIMA Good business acumen; ability to understand the workings of a diverse range of business units Must be eager to help move the team forwards. Committed to delivering within set deadlines Willing and able to document, in a detailed way, current work processes Demonstrate strong communication skills with all levels of stakeholders Must be confident and a self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment Sound technical accounting skills What's next?
