PERMANENT ROLE – MONDAY TO FRIDAY – £33,955.68 PER ANNUM
Wincanton is offering the opportunity for HGV Class 1 Lorry Driver to join our delivery team in Bellshill on the prestigious Howdens site.
1. £33,955.68 per annum
2. Shift pattern - Monday to Friday
3. 45 to 60 hours per week
4. Dayshift & Nightshift Available
5. Start times ranges for Days - 04:00 to 07:00 & Nights - 15:30 to 17:30
6. Overtime rate applies after 45 hours
7. One night out per week
8. Occasional Saturday morning run in after Friday night out
How will you contribute?
9. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products.
10. The job will involve loading chipboard.
11. Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail.
12. Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
13. Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements (opt out available).
14. Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, completion of dynamic risk assessments, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident, and damage reporting.
15. To ensure contractual KPI’s over delivery of product is undertaken in both a legally compliant and health and safety manner.
16. Attending any relevant training as required to ensure you remain fully equipped to perform your role effectively and to assist in the development of continuous improvement.
17. Keep the vehicle you use clean, tidy, and well cared for, so it is ready to be used the next day.
Experience and Qualifications:
18. Must have valid in date Class 1 licence
19. Must have valid in date CPC
20. Must hold Digital tachograph card
21. Must not have more than 6 points on licence
22. Must have minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
23. Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
24. Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
25. Must be fully flexible on working hours
26. Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service
27. Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
28. Must have a good geographical knowledge
