Role title: Configuration Engineers (Warhead)
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £39,280 - £60,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications & level of experience)

Let us introduce these roles
AWE is currently recruiting for Configuration Engineers & Senior Configuration Engineers to join our Product Configuration Management Team, supporting Warhead Engineering for a number of technical projects.
These roles involve either supporting or leading the implementation of the Corporate Configuration Management Strategy and Standards within designated area(s) of responsibility. The output of the strategy will ensure a consistent Configuration Management System across all Product areas. Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in these roles. Successful candidates will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE.
These roles are ideally suited to candidates with a keen eye for detail, a good understanding of the elements of Configuration Management, and familiarity with the requirements of Def Stan 05-57 and the CM2 model. Experience with PLM toolsets, such as Teamcenter, is preferred. Candidates must have stakeholder management experience.
Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
(Engineers)
* A broad understanding of configuration management
* A working knowledge of technical engineering or information management-based projects
* A working knowledge of using TeamCenter preferred
* Desirable: either ONC/HNC/HND/NVQ3/NVQ4 level in a STEM vocational qualification
(Senior Engineers)
* A vast understanding of configuration management
* Broad working knowledge of technical engineering or information management-based projects
* A working knowledge of using TeamCenter
* Either ONC/HNC/HND/NVQ3/NVQ4 level in a STEM vocational qualification supported by considerable practical experience in a mechanical, electrical or systems discipline
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following:
(Engineers)
* Delivering engineering solutions that meet safety and performance requirements
* Complying with the design intent across the full engineering lifecycle
* Planning and executing tasks in order to deliver agreed objectives to time; requirements, quality and cost
* Maintaining and promoting high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality
* Delivering Systems Engineering solutions in relation to defined requirements, across the full engineering lifecycle, to a high standard
* Effective stakeholder management, engaging others in order to complete the tasks
* Supporting developing engineers in the production of engineering solutions and their career progression
* Identifying and supporting opportunities for cost savings, efficiency and business improvement
* Expanding engineering skills and experience relevant to engineering domain
* Taking ownership of own training and development
(Senior Engineers) as above but also:
* Managing the design intent across the full engineering lifecycle
* Leading, coaching and developing a team to meet delivery objectives, which may include multidisciplinary teams
* Leading by example with regard to positive behaviours and safety culture and maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality
* Effective stakeholder management, engaging others in order to have a positive impact on decisions and programme delivery
* Maintaining and promoting awareness of Systems Engineering best practice and wider systems issues
* Contribute to identifying appropriate resources
