Health & Safety Risk Consultant
Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis.
Salary: £40k-£50k based on experience, a fully maintained company car, plus allowances.
Location: Home-based, with travel to customer locations across the UK.

The opportunity: Zurich Resilience Solutions was created to provide organisations with the most in-depth expertise, data and insight to manage their risks. We work collaboratively with customers, brokers, and our carefully selected network of third parties. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Zurich Resilience Solutions Workforce Strategies Practice business as a Health & Safety Risk Consultant. It is an ideal role for Health and Safety risk professionals with a broad range of experience who are looking for a new and exciting challenge.
What will you be doing?
1. Deliver Health & Safety risk consultancy to our customers.
2. Development of our risk consultancy business and customer proposition.
3. Commercial acumen, business development skills and an ability to spot opportunities to support our customers and the development of business opportunities in relation to the growth of fee income.
4. Marketing of our risk consultancy service through events, social media campaigns and other industry events.
5. Develop and support the relationships and risk profile improvement for a significant portfolio of major customers.
6. Produce high quality professional reports, providing best practice advice to customers.
7. Complete research into technical areas and provide up to date information for colleagues, other stakeholders, and customers.
8. Support and enhance our Group Underwriting and customer propositions.
9. Deliver training courses and presentations to our customers and stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
1. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and proven practical hands-on experience.
2. CMIOSH, CIRM, or other equivalent professional qualification and evidence of continued professional development is advantageous.
Your Experience:
1. Health and Safety Consultant experience.
2. Business Development skills and commercial acumen.
3. Knowledge of current and emerging liability related risks and knowledge of relevant legislation and its application in an occupational environment.
4. Awareness of the principles and practices of the insurance industry, relevant to the role.
5. Able to review risks, suitability of controls and systems and carry out detailed gap analysis and offer advice and potential solutions.
6. An enquiring mind with the ability to probe logically to establish the key exposures, common controls and analyse deficiencies.
7. Coaching stakeholders and leaders on best practice risk management to drive a culture of continual improvement.
8. Advanced communication skills, developing strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
9. A dedicated team player with a “can-do” approach to their work.
