My client is a network systems integration company operating across Telecoms, IT and Energy Sectors.
They are now looking for experienced DBS cleared Wireless Broadband Installation Engineers on a permanent basis to cover off home installations to the customers property across Devon and Somerset and possibly Cornwall.
What are the responsibilities of a Broadband Installation Engineer?
• Install Fibre and Wireless services/radio masts from main network to the customer's premises, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to safety standards.
• Set up and configuration of routers, modems, and other networking hardware & software to provide seamless full fibre and wireless connectivity.
• Perform thorough testing services to confirm functionality and signal strength.
• Deliver all installations in a professional manner.
• Always maintain a high level of health and safety awareness.
• Maintain own stock levels & vehicle cleanliness.
• Complete fibre and wireless install surveys using IT equipment provided such as laptop, phone, and tablets.
• Use of Fibre Cloud, Weezie, and third-party network architecture software to provide detailed install plans, along with CAT 5/CAT 6 cabling.
• Submission of defected infrastructure using provided software / apps.
• Use of business systems including PIA, Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, PeopleHR, Health & Safety Apps, SICON.
• Use of a wide range of hand and power tools to aid in the installation of customer fibre and wireless services.
• Use of a hoist to survey or install when needed.
• Out of Hours (OOH) on-call work may be required on a rota basis.
• Liaising with third parties including landowners, utilities, build contractors, landlords, and customers.
Mandatory Certificates / Licences:
• Driving Licence.
Recent DBS Check (3-6 months).
• Static & Mobile Boom 1B & 3B (IPAF).
• CSS Worksafe (Safe working at Height).
• First Aid at work.
• Asbestos Awareness.
• Manual Handling.
• Street Works (Unit 2 01 SLG).
• A8 or SA001 O / H safety.
• A9 or SA002 U / G safety.
• S7 or N007 Sub duct and cable installation.
• S8 or E001 Overhead cable installation.
• S9 Pole stepping on congested poles.
• OPS Card
