Hours: 30 hours per week, shift pattern 07:00am-13:00pm or 13:00pm-19:00pm, 5 days per week

We are recruiting a Second Chef to join our Hospitality team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without split shifts and long hours. We seek warm, motivated, and passionate chefs driven by quality and high standards, to provide person-centered hospitality to our residents. Key responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards in all food preparation stages to ensure residents' well-being.
* Prepare and serve meals according to the menu and company requirements.
* Ensure compliance with Food Safety & Hygiene Regulations.
* Present meals attractively and ensure they taste excellent.
* Practice portion control to minimize waste.
* Meet dietary requirements (e.g., high calorie, low sugar) by following recipes or adapting dishes.
* Maintain systems and checks to ensure a safe, healthy, and efficient work environment.
* Store food and other items correctly.
* Monitor stock levels, rotate stock effectively, and place orders as needed.
* Deputize for the Head Chef when required.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Relevant catering experience.
* NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds qualification.
* Team player.
* Understanding of dietary and nutritional requirements.
* Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
* Effective communication skills at all levels.
* Satisfactory police check and ISA list check (if applicable).
* Basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
