Hours: 37 hours (Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, Flexi Working)
Our client, one of the UK's leading Children's Charities, is looking to recruit a Registered Manager to manage their 3 bed Contextual Safeguarding Children's Home in Leicestershire. They are working in partnership with the County Council to increase children's residential provisions across the county and provide high quality support and care to some of Leicestershire's most vulnerable children.
You will be responsible for their beautifully newly built home which will support children and young people aged 8 - 18 years who are facing risks around exploitation. The service will provide up to 3 service users with the opportunities to enjoy different experiences, establish friendships, and develop confidence, independence, and social/emotional skills.
The charity is highly respected within the field and is known for providing high quality care and support for children and young people.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Managing a team of Residential workers and coordinating staffing rotas.
2. Overseeing all aspects of operational management including supervisions, 121s, performance management, training and development, and recruitment and retention.
3. Working together with the Local Authority to ensure effective matching and placement of young people.
4. Creating a culture and ethos where the complex needs of the individual young people and the group are met.
5. Responsible for quality assurance, service standards, and service development.
6. Ensuring that the physical environment of the home always remains at a high standard.
7. Holding team meetings to share information, practice development, and share any arising issues with the management team for resolution.
8. Attending a variety of formal meetings to represent the Service and Charity in order to promote the services' needs and the needs of the child(ren).
9. Assisting with the mobilisation of the home and promoting opportunities for the children's development while supporting staff to provide therapeutic, trauma-informed support to all young people.

Essential Requirements:
1. Must hold OR be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People.
2. Minimum of 3 years' experience working with Children and Young People and at least 1 year's experience within management/at a senior level.
3. Sound knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards of Children's homes with the ability to support the service to achieve a rating of outstanding.
4. Sound knowledge and experience of recording and reporting to enable safeguarding and protection of children & young people.
