We're on the lookout for a Senior Employee Relations (ER) Manager who has specific experience of advising and supporting medical workforce employee relations cases. Applicants will need to have an excellent working knowledge of the Maintaining High Professional Standards (MHPS) framework and be able to work closely with our Trust's Responsible Officer/Chief Medical Officer and Medical Directors.

Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients stay healthy when they need it most.
Job Responsibilities
As our Senior Employee Relations (and Projects) Manager, you will:
1. Line manage a number of Employee Relations Managers within the team.
2. Be the go-to expert for all things ER.
3. Specialise in medical staffing cases involving doctors and dentists.
4. Advise on exclusion and restriction risk assessments.
5. Support MHPS investigations and liaise with the GMC and PPA.
6. Tackle complex and sensitive cases, providing expert advice and guidance to managers and senior stakeholders.
7. Lead Trust-wide HR projects aligned with the corporate strategy.
8. Communicate complex issues clearly and manage a team effectively.
This role is tailor-made for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and has a solid background in ER, particularly within the NHS.
This post can be based out of 2 locations; Newcourt House, Newcourt Drive, Exeter, Devon, EX2 7JQ or North Devon District Hospital, Raleigh Park, Barnstaple, Devon, EX31 4JB.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
