Introduction
Our client supports the Government and they are looking for a number of Business Analysts to work closely with the customer to take ownership of the definition and delivery of user requirements on different projects.
You will be an excellent communicator and ensure that systems and processes meet customer requirements.
You will need experience working within a secure government client.
This is a hybrid role with 3-4 days per week on site in Gloucester or Manchester and the rest of time can be done remotely.
Key responsibilities
1. Work with the customer to understand their requirements and assess and manage those requirements.
2. Work within an Agile framework to perform feasibility analysis and scope projects.
3. Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
4. Work with the project management team to prioritise deliverables and negotiate on product functionalities.
5. Elicit requirements using a variety of techniques, including interviews and workshops.
6. Communicate with external and internal customers to assess information needs and functional requirements.
7. Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision.
8. Analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
9. Participate actively in Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing and Functionality Testing.
Skills & experience
1. Experience as a Business Analyst within a secure environment in either a data, process or technical focused role.
2. Excellent customer facing skills and the ability to elicit requirements.
3. Understanding of different methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.
4. Experience leading workshops or similar.
5. Strong practical experience of the fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.
