Salary: Up to £50,000 dependent on experience + 3% flexible benefits + on target bonus of 5% + contributory pension
We’re now looking for a Systems Engineer to join our growing team.
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Assist with key business projects from conception to delivery
2. Resolve 3rd line support issues for key business systems
3. Proactively manage the IT infrastructure to ensure maximum system uptime
4. Develop and maintain IT procedural/process documentation in line with PCI DSS and ITIL requirements
5. Maintain a viable IT Business continuity and disaster recovery infrastructure as per business requirements.
6. Mentor junior support staff and assist where necessary
7. Assist in system capacity planning
8. Constantly review the current IT infrastructure and propose improvements
9. Installation, configuration and maintenance of key IT systems including Microsoft servers, switches, SANS, VMware, telephony systems and firewalls
10. Build and maintain a secure network
You’ll need to evidence the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Operating Software:
1. Windows Server 2008/2012 Administration: Security, IIS, DHCP, DNS, DHCP, Clustering, server hardening
2. Active Directory: Roaming profiles, group policies, replication, remote software distribution, sites and services configuration
3. Remote Desktop Services: Understanding of Windows 2012 RDS application management and deployment.
4. Exchange Server 2010: Installation, replication, capacity and performance tuning, message tracking, archiving
5. Backup Technologies: Exchange, locked and shared files, SQL databases, media rotation, capacity planning
6. VMware and SAN Technologies: Virtualisation and network storage infrastructure. Configuration/maintenance of VMware ESX 5.x.
7. Sophos Antivirus: Centralised distribution, anti-spam, anti-spyware
8. Windows 7 Administration: Installation, configuration, tuning
Hardware:
1. HP: Rack mounted servers, RAID array configuration, rack switching, processor and memory upgrading, KVM switching, LTO4 tape autoloaders/drives
2. Cisco: Cisco 3750 and 3560 switches, ASA 5540 firewalls
Networking:
1. IP: IP, ADSL and MPLS networks, Cisco VPN configuration, firewalls, routing, VLAN configuration, Cat 5 patching, capacity planning, teaming and route aggregation
Telephony:
1. Avaya Communication Manager and Avaya Dialler: Support, deployment of handsets and headsets, configuration (e.g. user management, extension allocation, Vector, VDN assignment), capacity planning, IVM, RTA, Upgrades and patching
2. Verint Voice Recording: Management, retrieval, archiving, capacity and performance monitoring
3. IVR: Experience with inbound and outbound IVR integration would be useful
4. Fibre: First line support, fault monitoring, LAN extension, PRI, SIP
Security:
1. An understanding of security technologies with a view to utilizing those technologies to support regulatory compliance i.e. PCI/ISO. Websense, Mimecast, Pen Testing, Sophos.
