Role: Senior Event Operations Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (D.O.E)
Reports into: Managing Director
Location: London
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

Role Overview:
P.S. Shoreditch is seeking a proactive and hands-on Senior Event Operations Manager to oversee and manage our event spaces and the dynamic events taking place within them.
In this role, the Senior Event Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring all confirmed bookings and live events are executed to the highest standard, in line with our policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. A key aspect of this role is to ensure exceptional client satisfaction while leading and inspiring a high-performing team of Venue Managers.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in event and space management, a meticulous eye for detail, and a deep understanding of the operational demands of delivering high-profile, brand-focused, public-facing events.
Key Responsibilities
Operations:
* Act as the lead contact for our event space clients, ensuring they have the best possible experience while working with Protein Studios
* Manage all event space bookings following confirmation, ensuring a smooth handover from the event sales team
* Create and develop processes and procedures for internal use, as well as for suppliers and clients, to ensure efficient planning and seamless communication
* Attend all planning-related site visits prior to live events
* Support the sales team by advising clients on operational planning, including requirements for security, staffing, and cleaning. This may include attending pre-confirmation site visits as required
* Lead all logistical event planning to ensure the successful delivery of events, maintaining a comprehensive overview of activities taking place in the space
* Understand and implement the space's operational best practices, ensuring that our standards are upheld at all times
* Work closely with clients to collect all documentation outlined in our "Event Requirements" checklist, including health and safety documents, schedules, insurance, and licenses
* Apply for any ad hoc/temporary licenses as needed, such as TENS, alcohol licenses, or road closures
* Ensure the "Event Handover" document is meticulously updated for each event, providing a comprehensive guide that captures all essential details
* Serve as the main onsite contact for clients during the hire period, with support from our Venue Managers when necessary
* Complete the space conditions report at the start and end of each hire, capturing detailed images of all hired areas
* Manage all staffing, cleaning, and security needs for each event, ensuring alignment with the details outlined in the Event Requirements
* Maintain strong relationships with event partners and suppliers, upselling their services to event space clients after confirmation. This includes in-house technical production and catering
* Collaborate with OAT, our onsite café, to ensure that spaces are properly de-rigged and reset to a high standard after each event
* Work alongside the Managing Director in the onboarding and implementation of our new event space management system
* Provide support to the Managing Director with any ad hoc operational requirements across the business
Finance:
* Following each event, reconcile all costs by collating staffing, security, cleaning, and any miscellaneous 'Event Costs'
* Ensure event related costs are within the agreed monthly target
* Raise client invoices both pre- and post-event
* Approve all event-related invoices
* Manage event-related expenses
Must haves:
* At least 3 years of experience in event operations or managing an event venue
* In-depth knowledge of industry legislations, general event licensing and documentation required pre-event
* An understanding of H&S, compliance and environmental legislation and codes of practice
Nice to haves:
* Relevant H&S Qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH)
* Personal Licence Holder
* First aid qualification
* PAT Testing training
* SIA qualification
