Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our respiratory and sleep physiology team at Band 3 level - part-time. You will be required to:
1. Perform a range of Clinical Respiratory and Sleep investigations to patients of all ages from a range of specialties, which are cardio-thoracic in nature.
2. Undertake additional training in specialist fields of Clinical Respiratory and Sleep medicine.
Main duties of the job
Work collaboratively on a day-to-day basis with others to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the respiratory and sleep physiology service.
Continuous professional development is strongly encouraged to further develop your skills and knowledge. This will include support to attend relevant professional courses and conferences. There will also be excellent opportunities to gain additional experience and build on new skills.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Basic education including minimum 5 GCSE grade A-C (grade 4-9) or equivalent including Math and English.
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant scientific area.
Experience
* Experience working with the general public.
* Use of computers including Microsoft Office.
* Previous Healthcare/Clinical Experience.
* Practical Experience or familiarity with a range of respiratory/sleep investigations.
Skills and Knowledge
* Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information in a variety of forms to patients, relatives, carers, and staff where appropriate.
* Ability to keep accurate documentation.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Motivated and organised.
* Work unsupervised and as part of a team.
* Must maintain total patient confidentiality at all times.
* Able to undertake complex eye-hand coordination in the use of diagnostic equipment.
