We have an exciting opportunity for a Phlebotomist to join our friendly and supportive nursing team.
We are looking to recruit for up to 12 hours over a Monday & Tuesday.
The successful candidate will likely have a certificate of competence in phlebotomy, experience of working in a clinical setting and good I.T. skills. They will also have the determination to provide the best possible care to patients in an empathetic way and have a flexible approach to work. Being comfortable working in a busy environment and good interpersonal skills are essential.

Main Duties of the Job
Job responsibilities include:
1. Provide an efficient and caring phlebotomy service to all patient groups, in accordance with agreed operational policies and procedures.
2. Collect blood samples from all patient groups including children and the elderly using venepuncture in accordance with standard procedures.
3. Ensure all blood sample bottles are accurately labelled.
4. Ensure all samples are packaged and dispatched in accordance with Practice procedures and protocols.
5. Be aware of the clinical conditions and precautions necessary for sample quality to be maintained during the procedure.
6. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
7. Accurately update patient information on the clinical system.
8. Perform administrative tasks, as required.

Person Specification
Experience
* Worked as a Phlebotomist for a minimum of 1 year.
* Experience of Phlebotomy in a GP practice.
Qualifications
* Qualified in Phlebotomy (or Venepuncture)
* GCSE Grade C or above
