Hays Health & Safety are delighted to be working with this award-winning Contractor in recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join the team.
Based in Cheshire, this is a fantastic opportunity to join this Construction Contractor to drive H&S strategies and operations across the business.
Your key duties and responsibilities will be primarily to drive H&S standards, strategies, and procedures across the business, and foster a collaborative safety culture. You'll support project teams with guidance and the processes required to maximize H&S across their sites.
You'll have full responsibility for carrying out H&S plans, RAMS (in conjunction with site teams), site audits, and inspections. You'll drive environmental practices across the company, focusing on application and improvement in line with the overall business's environmental objectives.
You should have a strong background in driving the highest standards of H&S within a Construction environment, ideally with experience in working for a Principal Contractor. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for building rapport with site project teams and successfully driving H&S strategies, policies, and procedures across live sites.
Minimum qualifications include extensive experience working for a Main Contractor in a H&S Management role, NEBOSH certification, and a working knowledge of Environmental standards, or ideally working towards an Environmental qualification.
