Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Havant Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a key role in the day-to-day support of students with additional needs, working closely with teaching staff to ensure each child has the opportunity to succeed academically and personally. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored one-to-one or group support for students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met. Assist in delivering lessons by adapting materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning abilities. Encourage students to build their confidence and develop independence in their learning journey. Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies. Promote positive behaviour and social interaction within the classroom and beyond. Monitor and record student progress, sharing insights with the teaching team and parents as needed. Who We’re Looking For: We are seeking a compassionate individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children with SEN. The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is an advantage but not essential. A solid understanding of various special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and other developmental challenges. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families. A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting individual needs.
