We are looking for a Director of People Consulting, Head of People Consulting, or a Principal Consultant to join our HR Consultancy stream. We have a strong and proven track record of delivering strategic HR projects, including pay and reward, workforce planning, organisational design, and wider people strategies. We also support organisations with executive and non-executive search and recruitment. Location: Home working, with the ability to travel to our offices and client sites Hours: Full time (35 hours), Monday to Friday This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to help shape and grow our People Consulting services. We are open to appointing at different levels based on experience, with a clear progression pathway for those joining as a Head of People Consulting or Principal Consultant to develop into the Director role in the future. About the Roles Director of People Consulting: A strategic leadership role responsible for growing and diversifying Altair’s HR and recruitment services, leading business development, managing a team, and ensuring high-quality project delivery. Head of People Consulting: A senior leadership role responsible for managing a team, driving business development, and delivering a range of HR consultancy services. Principal Consultant: A senior technical expert role focusing on HR consultancy delivery (excluding recruitment services), with some targeted business development responsibilities. Key Responsibilities (depending on level of appointment) Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of HR and Recruitment consultancy opportunities through credible relationships and external networking. Delivering high-quality consultancy projects on time and within budget. Managing and reporting on the performance of the HR and Recruitment business stream, including pipeline, revenue, and profitability. Leading and developing the HR and Recruitment teams. Ensuring collaboration across business streams to provide the best client service. Staying up to date with emerging HR and Recruitment trends to evolve and enhance service offerings. Working with the Marketing team to develop and implement a marketing strategy for the HR and Recruitment services. Qualifications and Experience : Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior HR role, with a track record of driving organisational change and delivering strategic HR solutions. Strong leadership, team management, and client relationship-building skills. Expertise in HR strategy, organisational development, talent management, and change management. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. CIPD Level 7 in Human Resources or equivalent.
