Job Title: Part-Time HR Advisor
The role of the Part-Time HR Advisor can be structured as either 3 full days or 5 half days per week, totaling approximately 22-24 hours.
This position offers a great opportunity to join a busy, long-established medium-sized business as a standalone HR professional.
The HR Advisor will work closely with the operations side of the business to ensure comprehensive HR coverage and support across all departments. The role involves maintaining HR compliance, contributing to efficient business operations from a people perspective, and supporting the overall organizational goals.
Responsibilities include managing payroll for office staff with previous full payroll experience, handling day-to-day HR transactional duties, overseeing GDPR compliance, supporting managers with employee relations, recruitment, policy updates, and delivering training on employment law changes. There may also be opportunities to participate in HR projects as the role develops.
Key focus areas initially will be delivering excellent payroll services, establishing HR best practices, serving as the go-to HR contact, and maintaining visibility across operational areas. A strong business acumen and experience working in blue/white collar environments are essential.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in an operational environment with blue/white collar workers, at least 2 years of full payroll responsibility, and a solid understanding of employment law. Experience in fast-paced environments and a generalist HR background are also important.
