You will join our Aviation Airfield Team
As our new Civil Engineering Technician you will be part of our specialist airfield civils team – a team of seven experienced airfield engineers and technicians. Our core team is based in Chester and Manchester, but location is flexible for the right candidate. Based on a strong future pipeline of work for both civil and military clients we are now looking to expand the team. The role requires an inquisitive mind, capable of developing innovative and sustainable outcomes to support our clients. There will likely be travel opportunities both within the UK and internationally.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
* Civil design at all RIBA stages for both traditional and design and build procurement
* Preparation of CAD drawings
* Undertaking 3D modelling (after training, if required)
* Undertaking aircraft and vehicle tracking, using appropriate software (after training, if required)
* Management of your own time
* Team collaboration
* Mentoring and guidance of apprentice technicians as appropriate

* Experience of delivering civil engineering services across all RIBA work stages.
* Experience of delivering outline and detailed design of new civil infrastructure
* Experience of CAD
* Knowledge/experience of 3D modelling and vehicle tracking software
* Knowledge/experience of Microsoft Office suite software and Common Data Environments
* Working or interested in working towards a professional qualification
* Experience delivering civil design in accordance with relevant codes, guidelines, regulations and standards
* Understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 including Principal Designer role
