NHS Resolution Chief Financial Officer
Manage costs arising from negligent care, compensate patients, and resolve disputes without court proceedings. Our strategy aims to prevent similar incidents by using knowledge to improve safety. We deliver benefits and enhance opportunities for learning and improvement. In 2023-24, we paid out over £2.8 billion on compensation and associated costs.
We work across health and justice sectors, building relationships and maintaining an understanding of emerging issues. Efficiency and quality are key priorities, with high volumes of claims and high standards of professionalism.
As Chief Financial Officer, you'll provide strategic financial leadership, operational financial management, and corporate and financial planning. You'll advise the Chief Executive and Board on financial aspects and complex policy issues. You'll work closely with the NHS, DHSC, HM Treasury, Cabinet Office, and other external agencies.
This role offers breadth for candidates who want to expand beyond finance. You'll be joining at an exciting time in our development, with transformation plans reaching a critical juncture. You'll need to be a qualified accountant with extensive experience in providing strategic and corporate advice to board level. You'll need to be highly numerate and able to grasp the central government finance regime and broad social, political, and economic trends that influence the health sector.
We're looking for a highly talented, intellectually curious, yet pragmatic leader who can make a strong contribution at a critical time in our development. You'll need to provide outstanding leadership to multi-disciplinary teams, have first-class stakeholder management capability, and a sophisticated approach to partnerships and financial expertise. You'll also need to be resourceful and able to deliver better outcomes for the people we serve.
