1:1 Support Worker
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young children? We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Support Worker to join our team at a Primary SEMH Provision, supporting pupils aged 5-11 who display challenging behaviours. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing yet structured environment.
* Role: 1:1 Support Worker
* Location: Primary SEMH Provision (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
* Age Group: 5-11 years old
* Start Date: ASAP (trial day required)
* Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
* Rate of Pay: £12.90 per hour
Responsibilities:
* Provide personalised 1:1 support to pupils with challenging behaviours.
* Help pupils develop coping strategies and positive behavioural patterns.
* Work closely with teaching staff to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
* Adapt your approach to meet each child's individual needs.
* Be a role model for positive behaviour, providing emotional and social support.
Minimum Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children in an SEMH or similar setting is preferred.
* Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
* Strong communication skills to build trust with pupils and collaborate with colleagues.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
