Exe Valley Leisure Centre is a dynamic and community-focused fitness facility committed to delivering engaging, high-quality group exercise classes. Our indoor cycling programme is a core offering, designed to inspire participants to achieve their fitness goals while having fun.
Do you have a passion for motivating people in a class studio environment? Can you make an exercise class fun, effective, safe and stimulating? We are looking for someone who can bring energy to our class programme. If this sounds like you, and you have the ability to make individuals work hard but come away from the class feeling energised, then we’d love to hear from you. This is a real opportunity to bring your own style to Mid Devon Leisure.
Exercise classes are regularly monitored for improvement but will receive support from the Duty Officer for health and fitness to make the class successful.
All Coaches are expected to be punctual, energetic, and excellent at rapport building and to take onus on making their class successful.
All of these sessions are available to take on, however, there is no requirement to apply for all three. If you can only commit to one, we would still love to hear from you.
It will be an initial 12 week contract with the aim to progressing to permanent if the class is successful.

The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Indoor Cycling Instructor to join our team. As an instructor, you will:
Lead safe, energetic, and effective cycling classes tailored to varying fitness levels.
Create engaging session plans incorporating motivational music and diverse cycling routines.
Provide guidance on proper bike setup, posture, and technique to prevent injuries.
Motivate and inspire participants to challenge themselves while ensuring inclusivity.
What we’re looking for:
A recognised indoor cycling certification (e.g. Spinning, AFAA, or Indoor Cycling Institute) or equivalent qualification.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sports science principles for effective class delivery.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a motivational and engaging presence.
First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential).
Experience in group exercise or personal training (advantageous but not essential)
