If this resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you We're looking for an Assistant Housing Manager to help manage our extra care scheme. In this role, you’ll work alongside the Scheme Manager, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the residential apartments and community facilities. You'll be responsible for key areas such as managing voids, arrears, and ensuring compliance with fire safety standards. Effective communication with residents and stakeholders is at the heart of what you’ll do, ensuring everyone feels supported and engaged. You’ll also work closely with the Asset team to deliver improvements that enhance the living environment. In summary, you will help residents live independently in a positive, supportive environment, making sure their needs are met and that they feel empowered. You’ll be responsible for managing health and safety compliance, including achieving fire safety targets, to ensure a safe living space for everyone. You will also oversee voids, arrears, and the day-to-day operations of the scheme, ensuring smooth and efficient management. By working closely with the team, residents, and stakeholders, you will foster a thriving, engaged community that embodies the values of kindness, respect, and collaboration. What we’re looking for: Experience working with older or vulnerable people in scheme housing management. Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting residents. Knowledge of health and safety compliance. Organisational and time management skills with a positive, “can-do” attitude. Experience in managing mixed tenure extra care or retirement schemes is a plus. A full driving licence and enhanced DBS are required for this role. Hours are flexible but, you must be able to work on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 17.5 hours per week. You can work either four short days or three longer days per week. Team meetings and training sessions are held every Wednesday each week. In the business this role will be known as Deputy Scheme Manager.
