About The Role
RAC have a brand new opportunity to appoint an AI Data Scientist on a permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join the RAC as we look to grow our AI squad!
As an AI Data Scientist within our Technology division, you will be part of our dynamic team, focusing on implementing innovative data science solutions to drive significant changes in our operational efficiency. Utilizing advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques, you will play a key part of shaping the future of our roadside operations and improving our customer experience.
This role will be a hybrid role, where you will spend two days in the office in Bradley Stoke, Bristol and three days at home.
What You’ll Do…
* Analyse both historical and real-time data to identify patterns and inefficiencies in resource deployment.
* Develop and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning solutions, focusing on resource deployment optimisation strategies.
* Apply machine learning algorithms to enhance real-time decision-making capabilities.
* Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure seamless data integration and preprocessing for modelling purposes.
* Validate models using business feedback and refine them for accuracy and scalability.
* Present actionable insights to stakeholders in clear, business-focused formats.
* Participate in code reviews and maintain a well-documented, clean, and scalable codebase.
What You’ll Need…
* Previous hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
* Previous experience working as a data scientist or similar role, preferably within a commercial setting.
* Degree-level or equivalent qualification in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
* Experience with version control (i.e., git) and familiarity with ML deployment approaches (i.e., exposure to MLOps).
* Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python.
* Strong knowledge and experience of Snowflake/SQL, working within an MLOps framework, and use of a cloud platform (particularly Azure).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
