We are now recruiting for a Warehouse Trainer to join our team in Aylesford on a Full time and permanent basis.
Shift: Monday-Friday 07:00am-17:00pm.
Salary: £37,000 per annum.
Job Description
To provide professional training in the use of various types of Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE), giving up to date instruction on the safe and correct operating techniques for the equipment, control the maintenance and compliance of the MHE, write and introduce Safe Systems of Work relevant to the Warehouse environment.
To be flexible in their approach to their duties and to carry out other duties as and when required.
The role-holder will be required to be responsible for and undertake the following tasks.
* Assist with and contribute to key and basic skills training in line with Company requirements
* To work with the warehouse team and ensure that targets for achievements & training are met.
* Supervise all training activities relating to Mechanical Handling Equipment.
* Carry out risk assessments
* Ensure all MHE practices are carried out in accordance with Company policies, processes,
* To advise on future staff development needs for manual handling, health and safety, forklift and MHE training.
* Carry out inductions and train all new employees
* Continuous review of work practices on site to ensure all relevant Risk Assessments meet the requirements needed for the task being carried out
* Weekly audit the site BRC processes to ensure that we are compliant at all times
* To ensure training matrix and training files are kept up to date with achievements, targets and progress.
* Undertake general warehouse operative duties when training is not being carried out
* Advise operational mangers of any changes and developments in legislation and impact on training/MHE
* To liaise with suppliers to ensure all MHE is operational
* To devise and write Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.

Qualifications
Essential:
* RTITB Qualified trainer
* Educated to GCSE level
* Must hold a full Driving licence
Desirable:
* Training Qualification
* IOSH Qualification
* NEBOSH Qualification
Experience Required:
Essential:
* Previous experience of warehouse training
* Minimum 2 years experience of working as MHE trainer
* Experience of creating training plans
* Experience of undertaking administration activities
* Experience of delivering training in a classroom environment
* Experience of creating training guidelines
Desirable:
* Writing Safe Systems Of Work and Risk Assessments
* Experienced in MHE fleet management
Knowledge Required:
Essential:
* Full understanding of working to Safety guidelines and H&S legalities
* Knowledge of operational methods and procedures relating to the logistics industry
Desirable:
* Understanding of FMCG environment
