We are seeking a Bid Manager to join our skilled team within our Sales division, located at our Head Office and primary manufacturing site in York. Working as part of the team, and across other multi-functional teams, your role will primarily have the responsibility for delivering the tenders and bids to meet clients expectations. This role requires a collaborative working style with the confidence and integrity to earn customer and internal stakeholder confidence and respect. Role Details Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 (Dependant on experience) Role based: York, YO32 9PT Contract type: Permanent Role Responsibilities Ensure that tenders and bids are delivered on time and to specification Manage the end-to-end bid process Work with the Sales team to develop a clear win strategy for each bid and ensure win themes are clear and compelling Liaise with Sales Organisation Senior Management to ensure that contractual conditions agreed and to fully protect the company's commercial position Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines Identify ways to improve the quality, consistency and efficiency of the bid process. Work with the Bid and Operational Team to develop cost effective, buildable solutions for prospective customers whilst protecting the business from unnecessary risk. Report the performance and progress of all bids to Senior Management. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure submissions are made on time and to the high standards. Build professional relationships with staff, sub-contractors and customers. Collate & produce written responses to a high standard to ensure tender deliverables are answered in a way to maximise scoring opportunity.
