A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Business Manager to join their highly regarded team. This role is pivotal in supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives and operational excellence within an exceptional practice group.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide partnering support to the Head of Department to drive operational excellence and optimise productivity and profitability.
* Collaborate with the Finance team to review departmental profitability, support monthly billing targets, and lead budget setting processes.
* Manage aspects of lateral Partner onboarding plans and integration. Support departmental workforce planning and monitor productivity levels.
* Ensure effective delivery of decisions and initiatives by providing appropriate support, tracking and monitoring progress, and making recommendations for action.
* Collaborate with leadership and technology colleagues to leverage technological tools and capabilities to streamline operations.
* Conduct data collection and analysis to assist with key decision-making processes and support the annual budget planning process.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess considerable experience working in dynamic and demanding professional partnership environments, with developed skills in process improvement and project management.
Abilities and Desired Experience:
* Experience working in partnership or similar environments; legal industry experience is desirable.
* Confidence in engaging with senior leaders within the business.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills, with a proven ability to bring people together to agree and achieve shared outcomes.
* Strong commercial background with demonstrable practical experience in a range of financial management skills, including budget-setting, and managing to budget.
* Proactive approach with a highly effective ability to prioritise and manage a competing workload of business-as-usual activities and important strategic priorities.
