MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for assessment of service user needs in relation particularly to optimising independence and physical function To undertake comprehensive assessment of service users, using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans To promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice reviewing and making suggestions to enhance the service user experience and enabling concerns and complaints to be raised freely by service user and their representatives To liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals and volunteers in the planning and delivery of occupational therapy To ensure appropriate prescription, provision and maintenance of equipment within available resources To ensure that up to date written and electronic records are maintained in accordance with Professional and Brankind standards, and that sensitive information is held securely To demonstrate clinical leadership and promote clinical supervision. To share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching To lead on the localised training plan for Brainkind staff to provide physiotherapy interventions as part of overall care Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasks
