Junior Management Accountant
Job Title: Junior Management Accountant
Location: Liverpool Street, London - Hybrid
Pay: £18 - £19.50 per hour
Duration: Temporary 3 months
Hours/Days: Monday- Thursday 9am-6pm
Responsibilities:
Daily Accounting Operations: Oversee the end-to-end processes for accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Month-End Reporting: Prepare comprehensive month-end financial packs, including financial statements, reconciliations, and insightful commentary.
Trial Balance Management: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all entries to facilitate a seamless month-end close.
Systems and Payroll Support: Manage expense systems, ensure compliance with regulations, and oversee payroll preparation.
Journal Posting: Accurately post and maintain detailed records of all financial transactions.
Profit and Loss & Balance Sheet Reviews: Prepare accurate and timely profit and loss statements and balance sheets for management review.
Supplier Payment Management: Resolve rejected payments and liaise directly with suppliers to ensure timely issue resolution.
Data Management: Maintain and analyse financial data in Excel, leveraging advanced skills in pivot tables, formatting, and formulas.
Query Resolution: Address investment-related queries from senior leadership with accuracy and professionalism.
Process Accuracy & Systems Improvement: Implement and maintain robust financial processes to ensure data accuracy, including compliance with insurance and audit requirements.
Audit Support: Assist in audit processes by ensuring all financial transactions are well-documented and traceable, while supporting external auditors across multiple international entities.
Budgeting Assistance: Provide support in the preparation and analysis of annual budgets.
Tax Preparation: Assist with tax filings and support the preparation of annual accounts as required.
Skills/Experience required:
Has hands-on experience in management accounting.
Resilience in a Start-up Environment
Is part-qualified, but we welcome your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn!
Has experience with systems like Xero and Spandesk for processing payments and invoices.
Might have a background in investments - it's a plus, but not a requirement!
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability across different industries, along with VAT and tax experience.
