A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL
* Take charge of maintaining our hotel’s high standards, ensuring guest spaces, facilities, and behind-the-scenes areas operate flawlessly and look pristine
* Lead and inspire the maintenance team, fostering a proactive and hands-on approach to repairs, upgrades, and daily operations that support a smooth guest experience
* Design and oversee a preventative maintenance programme to extend equipment and facilities' lifespan, avoiding unexpected interruptions
* Collaborate with other departments to anticipate and address maintenance needs promptly, ensuring safety and quality standards
* Manage the department budget, track expenses, negotiate supplier contracts, and prioritize repairs and renovations
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, compliance, and aesthetic standards across the hotel
* Encourage continuous improvement within the team by implementing best practices and supporting skill development
* Stay updated with the latest tools, technology, and maintenance techniques to bring innovative ideas to the property
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
* Solid experience in maintenance or engineering management, preferably within hospitality or similar sectors
* Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance, with proactive problem-solving skills
* Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build motivated, efficient teams
* Financial acumen for managing budgets and negotiating contracts without compromising quality
* Organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities and urgent issues
* Flexibility to respond to urgent repairs, including occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call duties
* A passion for maintaining a safe, well-functioning environment that enhances the guest experience
