An opportunity has arisen for an AAT and/or ACCA part qualified Semi Senior Accountant with 3+ years of experience with a UK-based accounting firm to join a well-established accountancy firm.
This role can be full-time / part-time offering a salary of up to £30,000 and excellent benefits.
As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing year-end financial statements for various client types, including sole traders, partnerships, and charities, using both manual and digital records.
2. Overseeing and reviewing VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations.
3. Delegating tasks to junior team members, supervising their work, and providing constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
4. Assisting clients with general accounting tasks, such as preparing supporting documents for management or statutory accounts.
5. Advising clients on improving their accounting systems and internal controls to streamline their processes.
6. Updating managers and partners on job progress, ensuring timely and efficient task completion.
7. Preparing business and personal tax computations and returns in line with industry standards.
What we are looking for:
1. Previously worked as a Semi Senior Accountant, Accounts Semi Senior, or in a similar role.
2. Possess 3+ years of experience with a UK-based accounting firm.
3. Experience in producing year-end statutory accounts, VAT returns, and tax calculations.
4. AAT and/or ACCA part qualified.
5. Understanding of UK GAAP, with familiarity in FRS102 and FRS105 frameworks.
