Specialist Deputy Service Manager Are you an experienced and dedicated professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of people with learning disabilities or autism? We are seeking a Specialist Deputy Service Manager to support the delivery of a high-quality Supported Living Service. About the Role As a Specialist Deputy Service Manager, you will provide leadership and guidance to staff while assisting the Resettlement Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the service. You will ensure high standards of care, compliance with regulations, and a person-centred approach that enables individuals to lead fulfilling lives. Key Responsibilities Support the Service Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the service. Provide leadership and act as a role model for staff, ensuring clear communication and high-quality service delivery. Ensure the service complies with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices. Assist in managing budgets, staff resources, and the on-call rota. Promote person-centred approaches, enabling individuals to live as independently as possible. Manage and support staff, ensuring recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management align with best practices. Support individuals in developing their care plans, promoting independence, and implementing trauma-informed practices. Ensure a safe and compliant environment, managing health and safety policies and risk assessments. Essential Criteria To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements: Qualifications and Experience (one of the following): QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) with a minimum of four years' experience in a health and social care setting. Professional social work qualification with a minimum of three years' experience in a health and social care setting. First-level registered nurse with a minimum of three years' experience in a health and social care setting. Allied health professional qualification with a minimum of three years' experience in a health and social care setting. QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) with a minimum of five years' experience in a health and social care setting. Psychology degree with a minimum of five years' experience in a health and social care setting. Six years' experience in a health or social care setting. Additional Requirements: Minimum of two years' management or supervisory experience. At least two years' experience working with people with learning disabilities or autism. Minimum two years' experience managing behaviours of concern through Positive Behaviour Support. At least one year's experience implementing trauma-informed practice. A full driving licence or the ability to travel independently to meet the requirements of the role.
