We are looking for enthusiastic undergraduates to join our Supply Chain team on a 12-month placement programme starting in July 2025 on a full time basis. Everyday millions of people in the UK enjoy our oats, snacks, juices and beverages. As a placement student within Supply Chain, you will have the opportunity to join our 4,500 strong team who are behind these household names. As a function we are spread across 10 sites which include our Quaker Oats Mill in Cupar and our Walkers Crisp factory in Leicester - the largest crisp factory in the world. Responsibilities Within Supply Chain we have opportunities within the following disciplines: Procurement (Agriculture) Leicester based, but travel and working from home is required (more travel days during summer period) Preferred degree in Science, Procurement or Supply Chain and interest in Agriculture In this placement you will: Lead a number of projects focused on Agriculture, commercial agreements and digitisation. Work in the Agriculture lab, sampling crops and providing analytics Undertake field work, to include potato crop monitoring and regenerative agriculture projects Contract management and commercial experience Build relationships with suppliers and farm contacts Utilise and enhance digital tools including CropTrak, Tableau and PowerBI Present business case proposals, cost analysis and sustainability projects Carry out financial control / management Create project time-plans Be given real-life objectives to work on and will be expected to make a noticeable contribution to your department Central Technical Services Opportunities available at Coventry and Leicester. Required degrees in Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering In this placement you will: Lead and own allocated Capital Projects from inception through to handover ensuring key phasing of Projects are identified and worked to, with compliance to PepsiCo project management business process systems and technical/engineering standards Complete Engineering Drawings / Specifications Carry out financial control / management Create project time-plans Act as Interface (“on project” point of contact) for PepsiCo plants with the design, engineering product development and TPG teams in Central Technical Services to enable the execution of the Capital Projects agenda. Lead Project Teams as appropriate for the size of each project ensuring adequate/appropriate resource allocation Deliver the execution process to ensure standardised agile and rapid deployment of technical productivity & best practices Deliver cross UK projects Be given real-life objectives to work on and will be expected to make a noticeable contribution to your department Engineering Opportunities available at Coventry, Leicester and Lincoln. Required degrees in Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering In this placement you will: Lead equipment reliability and energy improvements to understand the root cause of poor performing assets and implement initiatives Support the development and deployment of both productivity and capital investment programs, which may include state of the art automation equipment Be given real-life objectives to work on and will be expected to make a noticeable contribution to your department Manufacturing Excellence Opportunities available at Leicester and Skelmersdale. Required degrees in Business Management or closely related disciplines In this placement you will: Lead process improvement teams to understand the root cause of poor performance and implement initiatives Support the development and deployment of both productivity and capital investment programs, which may include state of the art automation equipment Be given real-life objectives to work on and will be expected to make a noticeable contribution to your department Operations Opportunities available at Brigg, Coventry and Leicester SRDC. Required degrees in Food Science, Food Science & Technology, Food Manufacturing, Food and Consumer Studies or closely related disciplines In this placement you will: Support the Quality & Food Safety Team on delivering key Quality and Food Safety initiatives, specifically the key metrics for the site Support the Quality Specialists through trending of Consumer Complaints plus identification and facilitation of work streams for complaint reduction opportunities with site manufacturing teams Support the Food Safety Team to drive food safety performance through completion of audits and taking an active role in root cause analysis following food safety issues Support the site’s BRC Agenda by working on specific projects to drive continued improvements Be given real-life objectives to work on and will be expected to make a noticeable contribution to your department Customer Collaboration Opportunities available in Green Park, Reading. Required degrees in Supply Chain Management, Business Studies or closely related discipline In this placement you will: Take ownership for the analysis of forecasting performance data for both accuracy and bias and to implement improvements Review Impulse daily sales v forecast and make recommendations based on fluctuations Create and maintain customer promotional trackers and using this data to make recommendations for current forecasts and future promotions Provide effective forecast management information to make effective forecasting changes Review seasonality of forecasts and ensure these are reflected in a timely manner Provide management information in to the S&OP decision-making forum for customer related BIAS, Accuracy Administer control zone forecast changes when required Drive system and process improvements to leverage greater levels of efficiency Use your Excel Intermediate skills to make a difference Be given real-life objectives to work on and will be expected to make a noticeable contribution to your department Please note, when submitting an application, we will ask for your role preferences and these will be taken into consideration wherever possible. Qualifications What are we looking for? Students that have the full RTW for the duration of the full time placement (July 2025-July 2026). Students currently in their penultimate year of university studies, where the course includes the option of completing a sandwich placement before returning to study after the placement.
