We invite you to join our specialist SEMH school in Wilburton as a SEN Teacher, where you’ll have the opportunity to work with boys aged 6 to 16 with a wide range of needs. About the Role Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students in both primary (KS1) and secondary (KS4) settings, ensuring their learning is accessible and rewarding. Foster a nurturing, supportive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being, academic growth, and resilience. Work collaboratively with support staff and other professionals to provide holistic support for students with SEMH and additional learning needs. Develop and adapt resources to support students in their learning journey, using a variety of teaching methods and approaches. Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs), ensuring each student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. What We’re Looking For A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience or a strong desire to work in an SEN setting. Experience working with students with SEMH or additional needs (desirable, but not essential as training will be provided). A creative, patient, and proactive approach to teaching, with a focus on building positive relationships and fostering a safe, inclusive environment. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a calm, structured, and encouraging environment.
