Here at the Mick George Group, we are looking for an Asbestos Supervisor to join the team.
Job Overview:
To support the business in achieving its aims and objectives through the delivery of asbestos management and removal projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Organise asbestos removal works to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, MGE policies, and standard operating procedures, while maintaining health and safety standards.
2. Ensure all site labour, plant, and materials are on site and utilized effectively to ensure safe working practices.
3. Understand and communicate the method statement and risk assessment prior to works commencing, ensuring all controls are in place and risks are communicated to all operatives.
4. Maintain all first aid and welfare facilities on site.
5. Manage all site works in liaison with the Contract Manager, site staff, and client to ensure work proceeds on schedule and within budget, satisfying the client.
6. Complete all required site checks, record on appropriate forms, and submit to the Contract Manager/Office Manager/Plant Department as required.
7. Undertake monthly mask checks for all operatives on site.
8. Perform TNA analysis on operatives on a project-by-project basis.
9. Attend six-weekly supervisor meetings.
10. Participate in wider company objectives.
Qualifications/Experience:
* Demonstrable successful experience in a similar role (Qualified Licensed Asbestos Supervisor).
* Committed to providing first-rate customer service.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation including health and safety.
* IT literate—proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and remote meeting tools such as Skype.
* Effective communicator, influencer, and relationship builder.
* Strong written communication skills for completing site paperwork to a high standard.
* Honest and reliable.
* Ability to prioritize work and manage own diary amidst challenging demands.
* Ability to balance operational needs with best practices.
* Full driving license with towing ability.
