Exciting New Opportunity - Part-Time or Full-time Legal Secretary/Assistant
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Legal Secretary/Assistant to join our modern and forward-thinking law firm. Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure smooth flow of documents and correspondence in and out of the department.
* Type legal documents from hand-written notes or digital dictation.
* Scan, email, and fax correspondence and documents as required.
* Manage file opening, closing, and filing of all relevant documents.
* Prepare photocopies and trial bundles.
* Answer routine phone calls, take messages, and manage new enquiries.
* Organize internal and external meetings by managing Fee Earner diaries.
* Undertake online searches (TM / Search Choice).
* General typing, including completion statements, searches, and Land Registry forms.
* Provide support to other secretaries across the firm, as needed.
* Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Specialist Skills Required:
* Excellent IT skills, particularly in Word. Basic PowerPoint and Excel knowledge would be useful.
* Experience working with Practice Management Systems is an advantage.
* Strong telephone skills and professional communication.
Personal Skills Required:
* Interest in legal matters and commitment to confidentiality.
* Well-organized, conscientious, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
* Strong grammar and communication skills, both spoken and written.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Enjoy interacting with others, displaying tact, patience, and understanding.
* Professional appearance.
Qualifications & Education:
* Good standard of general education, especially in English.
* Numerate and literate with strong word processing skills/qualifications.
* Legal secretary training or a relevant qualification is preferred.
