Working Hours: Part time - 08.30 - 17.00 adjustable hours to suit clinics, Monday - Friday

Who we are:
We are a friendly Breast Screening Department covering the north and mid-Hants Breast screening service area. The main facility is at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, with a satellite department at Basingstoke Hospital. The main duties involve assisting advanced practitioner radiographers and radiologists during symptomatic and screening assessment clinics.

Job responsibilities
Role Description: The candidate will work in the Breast Screening Department at Winchester and Basingstoke hospitals, assisting Advanced practice Radiographers and Radiologists in the ultrasound room. Responsibilities include escorting patients, preparing them for examinations, setting out sterile trolleys, and aiding in biopsy and localisation techniques. There may also be duties assisting in the x-ray room or clerical tasks in the office area on occasion.
Responsibilities include performing basic aseptic techniques, clinical observations, stock ordering, and cleaning equipment. Candidates will use hospital IT systems to input and record data, supporting Radiology staff to provide a high-quality service in a busy department.

* GCSEs in English & Maths
* First Aid/Basic Life Support
* IT certificate
Knowledge & Experience
* Understanding of the role and responsibilities
* Previous experience in a Radiology department
* Previous experience in an NHS hospital or care facility
