Purpose: To ensure the site is compliant with customer and legal requirements on food safety and quality; ensuring products and environment are safe with quality up to agreed customer standards.
Your Duties Will Include:
1. Management of microbiological and chemistry testing schedule and trending for water, products, ingredients, and environment to ensure compliance with customers and legal requirements.
2. Lead the in-house HACCP team to ensure that the HACCP study for the site is up to date and correct controls are in place.
3. Management of the quality taste panel and ensure that all products are panelled via the taste panel or taste as you go.
4. Lead investigation of any quality issue or complaint and product approval for customer and brand standard samples.
5. Be the Quantitative Ingredient Declaration (QUID) expert for the site and lead QUID investigation, corrective action, and customer inquiries.
6. Manage technical quality equipment to ensure correct working condition.
7. Manage artwork, packaging verification, and approval to ensure new artwork is compliant with customer and legal requirements.
8. Stock management of testing swabs and budget testing management.
9. Support internal auditing on site by conducting audits in accordance with the annual schedule and close out non-conformances.
Minimum Requirements:
1. 2 years minimum of microbiological experience and lab testing methods.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the food industry.
3. HACCP level 4.
4. Food Safety level 3 (minimum).
5. Food Information Regulations (FIR) knowledge.
6. Experience in management of testing schedule and artwork approval.
7. Budget forecast experience for testing.
