Teaching Personnel are looking for confident and impressionable individuals who can help mentor children with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties), SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), and challenging behaviour. Most of these children require a nudge in the right direction with a dedicated and understanding approach. Someone trustworthy and committed to the role is essential, but also someone who will bring their own experience and life knowledge to the role and provide their own flair.
We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about making a difference and is able to de-escalate, distract, and keep pupils calm and collected during their scheduled learning times. As you can appreciate, the school will not adopt a typical school environment, and experience in this area is preferred as you will be expected to provide a ‘hands-on’ approach to learning and de-escalation when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support children with EBD and SEMH in a classroom setting.
* Utilize de-escalation techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
* Engage with pupils to encourage their learning and personal development.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
* Knowledge of de-escalation techniques.
* Enthusiasm for working in a pupil referral unit.
* Appropriate qualifications and training.
Personal consultant to support you with your application. The pay rate is £12.90 per hour.
