About the Role Armed with Marley’s trusted name and innovative products, you’ll have the autonomy to sell and add value across the West Midlands. Your focus will be to develop new business while strengthening Marley’s extensive network of clients across existing accounts. Key responsibilities include: Business Development : Identify and develop new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships, balancing growth with Marley’s long-standing reputation. Specification Sales : Target and influence key specifiers and contractors to integrate Marley products into their projects, leveraging Marley’s position as an industry leader. Account Management : Lead negotiations, develop custom business plans, and consistently meet regional sales targets. Project Pipeline : Proactively build and manage a strong pipeline, ensuring early pre-tender engagement to present Marley’s compelling solutions. Planning & Forecasting : Attend regular meetings across the region and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts to support strategic planning and growth. An essential skill and quality is a sales driven attitude and a drive to succeed. Proven sales or account management experience from a Manufacturer is ideal (roofing products would be the icing on the cake but not essential) particularly if coupled with an exposure to specification sales and the ability to manage a portfolio of accounts. Previous experience of sales/ acct management across a customer base which includes Developers, Housebuilders, Housing Association & Local Authorities is highly desirable That said if you cannot currently offer all of the above but are looking for the next step in your career and the opportunity to further develop the skills you do have then we are open to hearing from you.
