Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to focus specifically on Estates & Capital Development. This role is a senior position in the non-clinical team. This role requires the very best stakeholder management skills, the ability to influence, lead, prioritise, take ownership, engage, and mentor.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
The role requires a thorough knowledge of tendering, complex and strategic procurement requirements including contract drafting. Our Procurement Managers take ownership of a number of complex and strategic projects, ensuring their timely delivery and success.
A flexible working approach is offered with this role which would be well suited to someone with a demonstrable skill set in procurement, looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent procurement experience, ideally indirect
* Experience of driving savings through procurement activity

Qualifications / Training Required
Essential criteria
* Level 6 MCIPS Qualification, suitable equivalent qualification, or appropriate equivalent experience.
* Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPs) or appropriate professional institute or relevant experience
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Knowledge of professional purchasing principles
Desirable criteria
* Project Management experience or relevant qualification
* Expertise in Public Contract Regulation (PCR) procurements obtained through personal project ownership and further formal training.
Previous or relevant experience necessary
Essential criteria
* To evidence significant and advanced Procurement knowledge
* Evidence project management of large complex procurement projects, involving stakeholders from many disciplines / departments in client organisations and multiple suppliers.
* Evidence influencing skills in support of contract management to achieve optimum service levels and continuous value for money challenge.
* Evidence significant experience and understanding in the application of strategic sourcing methods
* Evidence experience of contract management.
* Evidence experience of supplier relationship management.
* Evidence tangibly a track record of delivering cost reductions and savings
* Evidence of leading or mentoring
* Evidence a track record of delivery against targets
* Worked in a customer service environment with management of a specific customer base
Desirable criteria
* Experience working within the public sector
* Knowledge and understanding of the importance of Trusts Standing Financial Instructions
* UK procurement directives and legislation – evidence an understanding of the changes that the UK’s exit from Europe has on Public Sector Procurement.
* Proactive category management experience
Aptitudes And Skills Required
Essential criteria
* Evidence advanced IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and an ability to quickly learn and engage new e:procurement tools and systems.
* Evidence an ability to prioritise and manage high levels of workload, multiple complex programmes, and projects and to deliver on time.
* Evidence of people management – the ability to manage, influence and lead people who may or may not be direct reports.
Special requirements of the post
Essential criteria
* Car driver, with full driving licence, or ability to travel independently between hospital sites or for necessary business visits (travel will be required to ensure that personal contact is maintained with stakeholders. This may mean regular visits to other NHS organisations and other parts of the public sector)

* Working Knowledge of the NHS
