Then the MASH health practitioner role may be for you!
The principal role of the MASH Health Practitioner is to gather and analyse proportionate health information which contributes to protecting children and improving outcomes for children and families.
Main duties of the job
* To collect and collate information from health records in accordance with agreed Information Sharing Protocol and in compliance with data protection regulations.
* Ensure relevant information is researched and shared within agreed timescales.
* Co-ordinate data to support team activity and the management team in ensuring resources are targeted to areas of greatest need.
* Attend meetings to maintain intelligence gathering and actively engage in panel meetings.
* Attend Daily Risk Management (DRM) and Strategy meetings.
Respond to requests for health information within the MASH, by gathering, analysing and sharing relevant and proportionate health information to safeguard and protect children and improve outcomes for children and families.
To maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies within the wider MASH Team.

* SCPHN or Equivalent training
Knowledge/experience in partnership working
* Safeguarding training
* Experience working with multi-agency collaboration
* Experience working on safeguarding children initiatives
* Good understanding of MASH
Flexible approach to team and autonomous working
* Able to manage own workload
* Able to prioritise tasks effectively
Knowledge of current legislation relating to safeguarding children and young people

Working for our organisation
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period unless currently part way through a probationary period or a bank member of staff.
NELFT places great importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training, and allocation of equipment.
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,192 to a maximum of £2,011 p.a. pro rata for part-time).
