The Role
The Commerce Photo Editor will be responsible for all product-based visuals and shopping galleries for the website. Candidates should have excellent technical and editorial judgment and a strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.
The Team
The Commerce Photo Editor will work closely with the GLAMOUR UK Commerce team, whose responsibility is to create inspiring editorial content that drives affiliate revenue for the brand. The Commerce Photo Editor will also collaborate with the Visual team to ensure that editorial visual expectations are met. This position reports to the Senior Visuals Editor and is based in Central London.
What will you be doing?
* Managing the daily output of commerce shopping galleries
* Editing and resizing all product-based imagery for the website (specifically cutting out products)
* Assisting in the research and creation of high-quality homepage content including photography, design, collages, and GIFs
* Working directly with editors to maintain the output and standard of digital visual content across multiple platforms
* Helping with Editorial Picture Research Content if needed
* Leading visual direction for major events such as Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday, and Sleep Week
* Creating mood boards for photoshoots that fit with the GLAMOUR aesthetic
* Monitoring freelance cover work to ensure images fit within the brand
* Managing budget, including monitoring buy-ins and ensuring we don’t exceed our budget
* Contributing ideas to editorial and commerce brainstorms
Who you are:
* Relevant experience working on a digital picture desk or in a relevant field
* Familiarity with the GLAMOUR digital visual aesthetic and a keen interest in shopping, beauty, fashion, interiors, and travel
* Strong photographic and organizational skills to ensure all content meets standards for brand integrity and production quality
* Knowledge and experience of photographic sources, agencies, and copyright law
* Demonstrated experience using Adobe Photoshop and digital graphic design
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work to multiple tight deadlines
* Ability to contribute ideas to both editorial and e-commerce brainstorms
Where will you be?
We encourage hybrid working, but when you are in the office, this role will primarily be based in our iconic Vogue House building, situated in the heart of Mayfair.
