Head of Finance
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term Contract (6-12 months)
Our client is working exclusively for an SME in Lincolnshire. They are recruiting for a Head of Finance on a Fixed Term Contract. As Head of Finance, you will be working with a fantastic team with big plans. This organisation strives to be industry leaders and is committed to excellence. The Role
Responsibilities:
1. Responsibility for the commercial interface with all customers
2. Monthly/quarterly pricing and reconciliations
3. Annual customer negotiations on inflation - understanding key market cost drivers
4. Ensure full understanding of the financial impact on the business of any customer's strategic decisions including promotions and other trade opportunities
5. Costing work for new business
6. Weekly and month end management accounts, both in terms of accuracy and timely reporting. Key month end KPI's include:
1. Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are complete and accurate to drive control through the monthly accounts process
2. Ensure the accuracy of all primary statements, P&L, Balance and Cashflow and the explanation of material variances to both budget and prior year
3. Drive reporting accuracy between the sum of the weekly flash accounts being as close as possible to the final month end management accounts
7. Year end statutory accounts from year end close down through to statutory accounts preparation, including:
1. Preparation of year end audit file with the wider finance team
2. Being the lead point of contact for the audit process
3. Ownership of corporate and VAT and R&D tax requirements from a statutory perspective - at year end and throughout the financial year
4. Filing of dormant accounts and other smaller statutory reporting requirements as required
8. Monthly cash flow forecast which profiles in detail projected EBITDA, working capital movements and forecasted capex spends - rolling 13-week forecast.
9. Capital expenditure process, including:
1. Reviewing and challenging the capital expenditure papers submitted by the General Managers to ensure they meet the capital expenditure hurdle rates
2. Looking at post investment appraisal reviews as necessary
3. Monitoring Capex spend versus budget
10. Finance lead on the system implementation project:
1. Design/development of weekly/monthly reports
2. Ensuring system adherence to maintain data integrity
11. Development and coaching of direct reports
