We have an exciting opportunity for a new Head of Field Services and Installations to join our team at Microlise! You will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of field engineering, technical support, and service operations. This role is focused on ensuring the successful installation and servicing of hardware, managing technical support for customers and the business, and driving service planning and scheduling. As the Head of Field Services and Installations, you’ll play a crucial role in overseeing vehicle commissioning, technical call vetting and managing third-party contractor relationships. You’ll also take charge of P&L and budget control, ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement through proactive monitoring and data analysis. Significant industry knowledge and experience is crucial, to be able to ensure you can provide coaching and ongoing development to your direct reports.Are you a strategic leader with excellent people management skills? If so, we want to hear from you!What you will be doing:Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing LEAN methodology and data-driven strategies, to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and improve efficiencyOversee the installation and servicing of hardware, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to industry standardsDevelop and implement field engineering protocols and procedures to enhance service efficiency and effectivenessConduct regular field audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standardsProvide comprehensive technical support and services to customers and the wider business, resolving issues promptly and effectivelyDevelop and manage detailed service plans and schedules to optimize resource utilization and service deliveryCoordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service operations and customer satisfactionEnsure vehicles are properly commissioned once installed, meeting all technical and safety requirementsEvaluate incoming customer incidents, prioritizing and directing them to appropriate technical resourcesOversee profit and loss statements and budget control, ensuring financial targets are metDevelop and manage the department\\\'s budget, including forecasting and financial planning, recognising cost-saving measures and efficiency improvementsImplement proactive monitoring and data mining strategies to identify areas for continual improvementEnsure a positive customer experience through effective service delivery and supportDevelop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve organizational goalsCollaborate with senior leadership to align service operations with overall business strategy.
