What you will do:
1. Play a key part in our strategy to focus on the SME and commercial sector helping us to support this underserved area of the market.
2. Define, shape and build a new digital channels offering for SME & Commercial customers.
3. Create amazing customer/end user centric journeys and processes.
4. Building up a picture of your customers/end users – who they are, what they enjoy, what they need and what makes them FANS (focus groups, segmentation analysis…).
5. Data, Data, Data driven! With a passion for asking what are we building and why is it important?
6. Creating the Vision and Objectives for the product and communicating this to your feature team.
7. Define, prioritise and sequence the backlog of user stories, working with cross-functional feature teams to bring new propositions and features to life.
8. Breakdown deliverables into a Minimal Viable Product (MVP), working with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these to engineering for delivery.
9. Ensuring there is constant communication and transparency with how the product is evolving and performing.
10. Build up the roadmap for their product for the short and medium terms (6-12 month and 1-2 years).
11. Holding ideation sessions to discuss ideas and ways to solve a problem – you set the What? and Why?
12. Using KPIs as a measure of success and progress for changes, and understands the need and power of benefit realisation.
13. Presenting at demo sessions and is able to communicate proof of concepts to senior stakeholders.
14. Works in agile methodologies and supports the teams to deliver by providing context, priority order and quick clarifications where queries arise.
15. Collaborate with the UI/UX teams and CX where appropriate, and brings these functions into the ideation process.

What you will need:
1. Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders.
2. You will have worked as a Product Owner or Product Manager, leading technical teams to develop and build a customer facing digital platform – Financial Services experience is not essential.
3. Working knowledge of SME & Commercial customers, with a clear understanding of their banking needs.
4. Ability to breakdown a project/initiative into a series of deliverables (MVP).
5. Experience of building a roadmap, and have knowledge about producing ‘Golden thread’ to show how all initiatives deliver on the strategic objectives of the company.
6. You are comfortable working on problem statements or KPIs set by your stakeholders and transforming them into features ready for prioritisation.
7. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) & is desirable.
8. SAFE Agile Certification is desirable.
