Contribute as a middle grade in the running of one of the Geriatric wards - 5A, 5B, Frailty services and Stroke unit at Whiston/St Helens Hospitals Participate in the General Medicine on call rota as a middle grade/Registrar Liaise with other members of the clinical team and other specialties Advise FY1's, CT Trainees and ANPs about management of patients Develop skills in managing the wards to avoid unnecessary patient delays and maintain good clinical care to all patients. Professional Responsibilities To participate in clinical audit and activities. To participate in continuing professional development. Study leave is to be negotiated. Educational supervision will be provided. To maintain a portfolio of training. To comply with Trust policies and procedures, have (and maintain) GMC registration /licensing. This is a full time post offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated doctor to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care in Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate must hold full registration with the GMC at the time of appointment.

We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre. Specialist Regional Services We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
