Job Description Technical Integration Lead (In-Service Safety and Safety Case Digital Tools) Full time Derby (Raynesway) What you will be doing This is a key role managing technical work packages as part of the Submarine Programmes scope of nuclear safety case responsibility for Naval Reactor Plants. This role will be the prime engineering and technical contact between the Customer, Services Project Functions and DBUs, being the technical lead for developing the Safety Case Restructure, including the Digital Tools associated with that restructure, and for In-Service programmes (excluding VCAS/ACAS). The candidate will be responsible for advising the technical content, strategy and delivery of agreed work packages. Responsibilities You will be responsible for ensuring timely and quality delivery of Engineering programmes across the Submarines Business. Responsibilities for this role include: • Provision of programme and technical guidance all work packages associated with the Safety Case restructure (including digital tools) and In-Service Safety. • Ensure compliance with requirements specified by regulatory authorities and to adhere to technical and business requirements of internal & external stakeholders. • Acting as a DBU point of contact for technical matters with internal suppliers, external customers and other key stakeholders to fully understand current and ongoing needs in support of the In-Service UK Submarine programme. • Maintaining appropriate relationships with internal/external stakeholders, to ensure that nuclear safety case activities being undertaken are correctly focussed, integrated, efficient and effective. • Promote continuous improvement by identifying Best Practice and Learning from Experience activities, feeding back into future programmes. A broad knowledge of submarines NSRP systems/engineering and a high-level understanding of the nuclear safety case and its technical dependencies is beneficial for this role, but not essential.
