Job title: Process Control Engineer Location: Radway Green Salary: £ 42,132 What you'll be doing: The development, review and continuous improvement of, but not limited to; Standard Operating Procedures, Process Hazard Assessments, General Risk Assessments, Parts obsolescence identification Build a technical library that will enable for documentation to be stored and accessible Liaise with the Site Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) & ME teams to ensure best practice is being applied to the Process and Product Risk Assessment Procedures Support capital acquisition, capacity, capability planning and engineering proposals, estimated costs to implement product and process safety improvements, and to improve operational efficiency Compile, review and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensure the safe operating envelope defined in the process control plans are detailed in SOPs Liaise with the Human Factors team to ensure that Safety Critical Tasks are identified through the Risk Assessment process, that subsequent controls are implemented and documented in the process SOPs Initiate and manage engineering change control Work to improve equipment availability and capability, carry out OEE/ OLE and process capability studies Plan and design methods to improve efficiency and product quality by utilising CI tools and working as a member of a cross functional team Your skills and experiences: Essential: Electrical / mechanical engineering experience, ideally gained in a complex manufacturing facility such as process, electronic, automotive or aerospace Experience in carrying out process capability studies, risk assessment is essential preferably in a high hazard / process industry environment Knowledge of Safe Systems of Works, standard operations procedures, training metrics Highly proficient communication skills both written and verbal Desirable: Time Served Apprenticeship (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical) Ideally have IOSH Managing Safely (training would be given to right candidate if required) Benefits: You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
